by Jami-chan Part 5 Goten and Uub finished eating at the same time. The moment they put down their napkins, Pan stood up and walked around, her head bowed, and starte collecting their dishes. Bra and Trunks blinked in confusion, and looked at each other; eyebrows raised. Trunks coughed loudly, and the three guests turned to look at him. “There’s no need for you to do that Lady Pan. No matter what you do at your own castle, you need not do it here,” the Prince said, frowning. Pan looked at him, and then looked at Goten, biting her lip. Then she looked back to Trunks again, who smiled gently at her. “Yes King Trunks...” Pan replied, her gaze locking onto the ground again. She returned to her seat without another word, or even so much as a glance at Trunks, Goten or Uub. Bra smiled at Pan as she passed by, but the girl paid her no heed, just walking right by her and sitting down. ******** Juunanagou opened his eyes slowly and blinked once. Before him was the vast planet of Vegeta. It’s huge... How am I ever going to find that girl? Is she even a girl anymore? What if she’s dead? What if she’s an adult? What if she won’t want anything to do with me? She might be like myself, and not show any appreciation towards family until it’s already too late. Shaking his head, Juunanagou tried to clear his mind of the jumbled throughts running through it. Then he descended towards the planet. Well, I hope she’s reading to meet her Uncle... ~~~~~~~ Deep in the forests of the most abondoned area of Planet Vegeta, there was a small dome shaped cottage. Next to it, was a tree. The tree had a gravestone in front of it. It read: Juuhachigou Chestnut Birthdate: Unknown Species: Android/Human Date of Death: Unknown, found on the battlefield dead. She fought with grace and power. Thought to be unbeatable, she died the death of a true warrior. How is this known? Because even in death, she was still beautiful, and her eyes were closed in a peaceful expression. Juuhachigou shall be missed greatly. No one shall ever take her presence in our lives. When the cottage door opened, a monk stepped out. A moment later, you could no longer see the gravestone. He bent down in front of it; running a hand through his grey hair with a sigh. “Hi Juu-chan... Just here to clean off your grave again... It’s that time. I miss you so much,” the aged man said in a gentle voice as he opened up a bag filled with cleaning utensils and started the long process of preserving a grave. “I haven’t heard from Marron yet. I haven’t in the past seven years. She ran off when she was sixteen. I hope she’s not getting into too much trouble. Last I heard, she was the general of the Eastern Vegetan King’s army! Our little girl! Now that’s something to be proud of!” The monk continued talking to himself and the grave. “But I also heard she’s a cruel, manipulating person. That’s not surprising,” he sighed, “she wasn’t exactly the nicest person when she left. Still, I hope she’s okay. It’d be awful to one day find out she’d died in battle. I don’t think my old heart could take that. I honestly don’t. Not after you died. Then when I moved here, they tried to make me choose which King I had to follow. I told them, “My home is on the border line of the Eastern and Western sides of Vegeta. Exactly on the border. Therefore, I will listen to both Kings, or neither at all.” In the end, they let me live here with no trouble. I don’t even have to follow the rules of either Kingdom.” His talking to the grave went on for a while, but eventually he stopped. Then, he worked in complete silence, save for the birds chirping around him and the faint sound of the near by waterfall that supplied the creek that flowed through his land. Just as he finished and started to stand up, Krillin was blown foreward and over the grave by a sudden gust of extremely strong wind. Rushing to his feet and turning around, the extremely old human hid behind his deceased wife’s gravestone as a circle of blue energy descended into his yard. When the blue light faded away, Krillin allowed the top half of his head to pop up over the gravestone. When his eyes were over the gravestone, he spotted a rather tall man with black shoulder length hair. “You can come out old man,” Juunanagou said with an amused look on his face. He’d decided he would try and be nice to the people of the planet. Until he found his niece that is. Then it’d all depend on what she was like. Krillin stepped out from behind the stone. He looked up at the black haired man, and noticed he looked a lot like Juuhachigou. Especially his eyes. Very faintly, he remembered his wife mentioning a brother. “Are you... Juunanagou?” |
