by Jami-chan Part 4 Blackness stretched for miles around the sole figure. He... Or she? That shall remain unknown for a few moments. IT stood, no, floated upright, surrounded by nothing. Nothing but an invisible shell. It’s eyes were closed. It’s skin was pale, extremely pale. Was it alive? Yes, it was. But how? It floated out there, surrounded by nothing but empty space, enclosed in a bubble that allowed it to live. Ever so slowly, it’s pale blue eyes opened. The being jerked once. And then a hand moved up and moved a piece of black hair out of his face. The being, now known as a he, seemed confused. Disoriented. He didn’t know where he was. Still moving in almost slow motion, the male reached into his pocket, as if by instinct. He pulled out a piece of pale yellow paper. Was the paper originally yellow? Or was it simply dulled that color because of age? Who knows? (Does anyone really care?) Unfolding the yellow paper, one could tell that it had indeed been originally yellow. The pale yellow coloring wasn’t because of age. However, it was obvious that it had paled with a little age. How much age was irrelevant. The black haired man--- was he even a man?, slowly read over the note he had never seen before. It read: Juunanagou, Our fears have come true. I’m afraid we shall both be sent off to war. Being the killing machines we are, I’m more than positive that we will. There’s no doubt now. And because of this, I am going to reveal to you something I have kept from you for the past seventeen years. I know that we were built to be the perfect killing machines. But there’s something you don’t know. We weren’t built from scrap like our ‘brother’, Juurokugou. At one time, we were actually beings called homosapiens, or humans. I found this out shortly after I met a human. His name was Krillin. We... We fell in love. And we had a daughter. Her name was Marron. I know for certain that something will happen to us in this war. I know I, me, not you, will die. I’ve seen it in my dreams. You will survive, but you will fall into a coma. For five years. Then you will awaken. I’m sending my daughter, Marron, to the planet Vegeta. I’m asking, no, begging you to find her. She has blonde hair, just like mine. And she has these... Dark blue eyes. Much darker than mine or yours. I KNOW that this is very unlike me. But please Juu, I care about my daughter. Even being the cold hearted person I seem to be. Besides... You never know, maybe you can find the love that I once held so dear. Maybe you can find someone who will make your life complete. Good luck, and aishiteru nii-chan. Stay safe, Juuhachigou P.S. I’ve been buried on Vegeta-sei, it was a request I gave when I die. No one knows but you, and the person who buried me, Krillin. If he’s still alive, tell him I love him. I don’t think I ever did. Juunanagou blinked. The information was all new to him. However, he sucked it in quickly. Then he knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to go find the girl that was part of this family he’d never known. With a flick of his wrist, the android used a bit of ki to burn the paper to ashes. Next stop: planet Vegeta. Let’s see if this Marron is anything like her mother. If so... ******* Uub wrenched the hand away from his mouth and threw the female over his shoulder. He was surprised when he saw that is was Lady Marron he’d thrown. “Lady Marron!” Uub rushed over to the blonde. She groaned when he placed his hands on her shoulder. “I’m so sorry! What are you doing out here? I was wondering why you weren’t there to greet us with everyone else...” Marron shook her head and motioned for him to stop. Fake tears filled her eyes and she whimpered slightly. “I wanted to be there. I wanted to be there so badly, just to see your face again.” She mentally thanked the acting classes she’d taken so long ago. Her words were actually convincing. “But... The Princess... She dislikes me so much! Especially after how I saved you from her!! So she proved herself stronger than me, stripped me of my title and banned me from the kingdom! If I’m caught here I could be executed!” Uub’s eyes went wide. “You’re kidding right?!? Princess Bra has a kind heart! She would never do that! Is there any way I can help Marron?” Latching herself to Uub’s arm, Marron looked up at him with obviously fake puppy dog eyes. “Ooh there is a way! There’s only one way for me to be excepted back into the kingdom! But I’m not strong enough to do it!” “Just name it and I’ll do it!” “I’d have to kill Princess Bra...” Marron’s eyes welled up with tears. “I miss my home so much already and it’s only been a few days!” Her arms tightened around one of Uub’s and Uub found himself blushing. “But Marron... I could get killed for doing that!” “No one will know it was you! They’ll all assume it was me and I won’t get in trouble because it’ll just be getting myself back into the kingdom!” Marron pleaded, her voice sounding real, despite her word’s being fake. Uub looked to the side, biting his lip. “Marron I don’t thi--” A look of determination planted itself on Marron’s face. She moved her head up and planted her lips on Uub’s. A moment later, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and he did the same after recovering from his shock and kissing back. When they broke apart, Uub answered her plea in a breathless voice. “I’ll do anything you want Marron.” ****** Bra forced Pan to sit down on a chair in the Lady’s bedroom for the week she was here. “Now, I really like your hair so don’t mind me while I play around with it. Tell me about your uncle! He’s really cute! I haven’t heard much about him so I wouldn’t know what to think of him.” A scowl planted itself upon Pan’s face. “Don’t go anywhere near my uncle other than for business while he’s here. You don’t want to! Trust me, he’s a jerk. The only reason I don’t kick his ass is because he’s family and I’m too loyal to do that. But he’s beaten me and everything all my life. Then, two years ago, he gave me away as a personal slave to Lord Uub.” With a few blinks, Bra shrugged and picked up a brush. “Uub isn’t that bad I guess. I didn’t like how he treated you on that one day...” “He was just acting. The only time he’s ever cruel is out on the battlefield. Unless he wants to look good for my good for nothing uncle. I tried to escape the other day. Goten nearly killed me. The clothes I had been wearing had to be thrown out. They’d been stained crimson from all the blood.” Bra grimaced slightly. “I enjoy a good fight, but you know... I’d never kill too many people. Sometimes I almost have a split personality. I mean, sometimes I’m like my father, the late King Vegeta. And at other times, I’m more like my mother.” “You look like your mother.” “Have you met her?” “No, but I’ve read all about her, and your father. But I can see his smirk plain as day on your face Princess.” “Please, it’s just Bra.” “Okay then. How strong are you anyways?” The two continued to talk as Bra picked up a brush and ran it through Pan’s long black hair. Anyone could tell they were going to become fast friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trunks scowled at the King of Western Vegeta. The man was truly undeserving of his little sister. But who can I give him? I banned Marron. Oh well, knowing her she’ll find a way to him. She wants power and she’ll get it one way or another. I’ll just tell him that I find him unworthy of my sister, kick him out of the castle and let Uub decide where he wants to go. However, I don’t intend to let Lady Pan leave. She and Bra have become friends already. Not to mention, I don’t think I could live with myself if I let him keep on treating her so badly. I’m glad Bra finally did something about Marron. His train of thought was broken when Goten spoke again. “Really, King Trunks, your servants have no respect for anyone of high status.” Goten snarled, kicking a servant girl hard in the leg. Trunks’ eyes narrowed at his guest’s action. “They just don’t know who you are King Goten. I’m sure they’ll find out soon enough though. Then you’ll be treated just like myself and my sister. Speaking of my sister, I know you two didn’t really get a chance to meet--” Trunks was cut off by Goten yet again. “I’d love to take her as my mate,” Goten said, an almost evil glint in his eyes. “She’s quite beautiful, and strong at that. Though I heard of Lady Marron being both of those as well...” This time Trunks managed to cut Goten off. “Marron, who is no longer a Lady of this kingdom, was banned from my side of the planet when Bra proved herself stronger than her. It’s tradition for a person’s apprentice to decide their master’s fate when they become stronger or smarter than their master.” “Oooohhh,” Goten nodded, but showed no emotion on his face. And his tone of voice would lead a person to think he didn’t care. Truthfully, he didn’t either. Trunks scowled again. It didn’t take a fool to notice those two would not be good friends, unlike Bra and Pan. |
